Apparently there’s a link between depression and intimacy, and not just in the physiological sense. The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that popular radio and television personality Dr. Drew Pinksy had a somewhat intimate relationship with pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline Plc (GSK), the maker of antidepressant Wellbutrin, in the late '90s.
It’s probably not the way GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) had hoped to start the second half of the year. The U.S. unit of GSK today agreed to plead guilty and pay a criminal fine of $956.8 million for marketing drugs for unapproved uses.
Good news for GlaxoSmithKline Plc. (GSK) U.S. District Judge Joel Pisano ruled yesterday that the pharmaceutical giant has the right to sell an authorized copy of its anti-depressant, Paxil CR, to Canadian pharmaceutical company Apotex Inc.
