Launched in 1991 InsideCounsel is the pioneering monthly magazine exclusively serving general counsel and other top in-house legal professionals. Formerly known as Corporate Legal Times, InsideCounsel is the oldest monthly magazine published specifically for in-house counsel. It has a monthly circulation of 40,000 (Dec 2013 BPA Statement) including chief legal officers, VPs and general counsel.
InsideCounsel's mission is to provide the strategic tools that general counsel need to better manage their legal departments and fully understand the business risks companies face today. The Women, Influence and Power in Law conference offers a unique opportunity for unprecedented exchange with women outside counsel. This two day conference is not a forum for lawyers to discuss so-called “women’s issues.” It is a conference for women in-house and outside counsel to discuss current legal topics, bringing their individual experience, perspectives and best practices.
Since 2010, the Transformative Leadership Awards honor general counsel and law firm partners who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in corporate law.

Lloyd M. Johnson
Lloyd M. Johnson Jr. is publisher and community leader of InsideCounsel magazine. He has over 30 years of experience, including the creation of numerous magazines such as Diversity & the Bar, Chief Legal Executive and Litigation Management magazines. Johnson has paved the way for groundbreaking programs related to talent development in an effort to develop a robust training curriculum for the next generation of general counsel and senior law department leaders known as the Women Influence & Power in the Law network. He is also credited with launching the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). Johnson received his J.D. from the University of California at San Francisco Hastings College of the Law, and his B.A. from the University of Southern California.
Erin E. Harrison
Editor in Chief
Erin E. Harrison is the Editor in Chief of InsideCounsel magazine. Harrison’s diverse professional background includes extensive expertise in both print and online media, highlighted by tenures as Executive Editor at TMCnet, founding Editor in Chief of Executive Decision magazine, Executive Editor of Real Estate magazine and Online Editor at Scholastic Library Publishing. She has also been a frequent contributor to online news outlets including Blouin News and Patch. Harrison earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Sacred Heart University and was Editor in Chief of the university’s award-winning weekly newspaper, Spectrum.
Richard P. Steeves
Richard P. Steeves is Senior Editor of InsideCounsel magazine, where he covers the intellectual property and compliance arenas. Rich earned a B.A. in English Literature and an M.Ed. from The George Washington University. In addition to working nine years as a teacher of English Language Arts at the secondary level, Rich has worked in both print and online publishing, most recently serving as Managing Editor at TMCnet. He is also a published author, having written two novels and over a dozen short stories collected in various anthologies.
Chris DiMarco, Managing Editor of InsideCounsel magazine, has a background in multimedia production with previous involvement in projects in which he developed and created content for print, online and video campaigns. At InsideCounsel, Chris covers the litigation, labor and employment and technology sectors. Most recently, Chris served as a communications specialist at one of the largest financial firms in the U.S. He earned a B.S. in English from SUNY Albany and an M.S. in Interactive Journalism from Quinnipiac University.
Zach Warren is Associate Editor of InsideCounsel magazine, where he oversees online content submissions and administers InsideCounsel's enewsletters. Zach specializes in new media and multimedia content, having worked previously in both TV and online journalism. Before InsideCounsel, he worked primarily in the sports arena as Editor in Chief of startup analytics company numberFire and as play-by-play broadcaster for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Zach earned a B.S. in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
