Launched in 1991 as a monthly magazine, InsideCounsel is now an exclusively digital platform serving small legal departments and startups. InsideCounsel's mission is to provide the strategic tools that in-house lawyers need to better manage their legal departments and fully understand the business risks companies face today. The brand's unique coverage includes benchmarking surveys, examinations of substantive legal issues, regional news and a variety of columns and departments covering such critical areas as litigation, corporate governance, labor and intellectual property.
The brand also hosts InHouse Innovates SuperConference, an annual two-day conference in Chicago that attracts the best and brightest general counsel in the country. They attend this event to share ideas and best practices, as well as to expand their knowledge and skill sets. In addition to InHouse Innovates, InsideCousel's legal suite of events also includes the co-branded Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference and the Transformative Leadership Awards.
Meet the InsideCounsel Team
Paonita oversees the digital coverage of Corporate Counsel and InsideCounsel, managing editors and reporters and representing the voice of the readership. Under his leadership, Corporate Counsel has won numerous Azbee and Neal Awards for its editorial coverage.
He began with ALM as deputy managing editor for The National Law Journal and worked his way up to assistant managing editor, during which he worked with the team that won a George Polk award.
Gary is responsible for overseeing the business lines of ALM's national legal media brands including The National Law Journal & Legal Times, Corporate Counsel and InsideCounsel.
Prior to ALM, Gary held leadership roles at OmniVere LLC, Thomson Reuters, Tax Analysts and FINRA. He is nationally recognized as a top revenue and results-driven marketing, communications, business development and sales executive in the legal industry.
