SVP, Senior Corporate Counsel
Description:
Barker Gilmore has been exclusively engaged by a leading consumer and commercial bank in Minneapolis, Minn. to identify a lawyer knowledgeable in consumer lending law for a Senior Legal Counsel position. This is a high priority, Senior VP position, and the General Counsel seeks to fill this critical role in the law department immediately.
If you are a lawyer with an expertise in consumer lending law, particularly mortgage lending, and are looking for a high level position with a profitable bank, this opportunity is for you. Our client requires an expert in bank regulatory law and is prepared to offer a competitive compensation package and relocate the perfect candidate if needed.
Job Requirements:
- Broad and deep knowledge of laws and regulations relating to consumer lending: TILA, ECOA, FCRA, and RESPA.
- Experience interfacing with regulators including the Federal Reserve, OCC, and CFPB.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with business leaders
- Expertise in developing and modifying lending practices and procedures to conform with new legal requirements
