China-Based In-House Counsel
Description:
BarkerGilmore has been engaged by a Global 500 leader to identify a Senior Counsel for its China business unit. This high profile position can be located at company offices in either Shanghai or Beijing. Ideally, we seek an attorney with eight or more years of experience who is fluent in both Mandarin and English, has received a JD or LLM from a U.S. law school and has U.S. litigation, transactional, and commercial experience.
The most significant selling point for this opportunity is the growth potential of becoming the General Counsel of China for this leading company within one year’s time. The lawyer in this position will be focused on helping the business achieve continued growth by assisting with legal issues involving business initiatives, government affairs, corporate policy, IP strategy, and counterfeiting.
Relocation to China is available. This position comes with a strong base compensation, plus cash bonus and equity.
