William M. McSwain
William M. McSwain is a partner in Drinker Biddle & Reath's White Collar Criminal Defense & Corporate Investigations practice. He joined the firm in 2006 after serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. At Drinker Biddle, Bill has developed a broad litigation practice, applying his trial skills in a number of areas, including securities litigation, white collar criminal defense, defense of consumer class actions and intellectual property litigation.
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) have taken coordinated action against a debt settlement company by filing both a criminal indictment and a civil complaint on the same day.
