Lawrence H. Norton recently joined Venable’s political law practice as co-chair. He served as the general counsel at the Federal Election Commission from 2001 to 2007. In this position, he played a prominent role in the implementation of the Bipartisan Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2002, commonly referred to as the McCain-Feingold law. Mr. Norton advises public and private companies, nonprofits, and trade associations on all aspect of political law.
