Eugene A. Boyle is a partner at Neal Gerber & Eisenberg. He has extensive experience counseling and defending companies nationally in all facets of labor and employment law. Gene has assisted in the planning and execution of numerous complex workforce reductions, including compliance with state and federal plant closing laws. He also works regularly with clients to assess wage and hour law compliance and provides general advice and counsel in connection with all areas of employment regulation.
Under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), employers with 100 or more employees are required to provide workers with 60 calendar days’ notice in advance of a plant closing or mass layoff.
