Taylor Wessing Releases Second Annual Global IP Index

Study assesses best and worst IP jurisdictions across the globe.

Published on 5/12/2009

Taylor Wessing released its second annual Global Intellectual Property Index Tuesday, which assessed 24 countries across the planet as the best and worst jurisdictions to obtain, exploit, enforce and attack particular types of IP.

For the report, the law firm surveyed 495 global industry leaders. Sixty percent of respondents said their organizations spend more time on IP matters now than three years ago.

For the second year in a row, the United Kingdom landed at the top of the list. The United States remained in the top five, along with Germany, Australia and the Netherlands. Russia, Brazil, India and China fell at the bottom of the list, but their scores all increased from last year.
