Davis Polk, Ballard Spahr name new female partners

Sophia Hudson and Anastasia Khokhryakova are elected partners in their respective firms

Sophia Hudson was elected a partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. Part of the firm’s Corporate Department, she practices in the Capital Markets Group. Hudson advises U.S. and non-U.S. issuers and underwriters on capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings and other equity offerings, public and private high-yield, investment-grade and convertible debt offerings and private placements of equity and convertible securities for early stage companies. 

She also advises her corporate clients on governance, corporate and securities law matters. Her experience ranges across a variety of industries, including biotech, specialty pharmaceuticals, consumer, financial institutions, industrials and mining.

Ballard Spahr names Khokhryakova partner

Ballard Spahr has elected Anastasia G. Khokhryakova a partner. Based in the Denver office, Khokhryakova focuses on project and public finance and handles a broad range of financing transactions in the areas of transportation, public-private partnerships, health care, development and redevelopment and other public projects.

She has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and issuer’s counsel to the State of Colorado, state authorities, counties and municipalities and special districts and other public entities, as well as underwriter’s counsel and lender’s counsel to investment banks and comm.
