Cheverine joins Eaton as senior vice president, chief counsel

Power management company Eaton has named Carolyn E. Cheverine senior vice president and chief counsel, Industrial Sector. In this role, Cheverine will have overall responsibility for legal matters in Eaton’s Industrial Sector. She reports to Mark McGuire, executive vice president and general counsel.

“We are pleased to have Carolyn join Eaton and are confident that her extensive legal background will make a significant contribution to the growth of Eaton and our law department,” said McGuire in a statement.

Cheverine was previously vice president, general counsel and secretary at Cliffs Natural Resources. Prior to that, she held a variety of legal positions of increasing responsibility with The Lubrizol Corp., Noveon and Key Corp.  

Cheverine holds a law degree from the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
