Addison elected Norton Rose U.S. managing partner

Linda Addison, Noroton Rose Fulbright

Norton Rose Fulbright has elected Linda L. Addison its first female U.S. managing partner. She has been serving in the role since December 2013. She continues to serve as a member of the firm’s global executive committee.

"I am honored that my partners have entrusted me to lead our U.S. practice and to help shape the future of Norton Rose Fulbright,” said Addison, who is responsible for the firm’s U.S. operations and strategy, in a statement. “As managing partner, I am committed to maintaining our culture and providing our lawyers with the support to provide superior legal service. We will continue to use our depth of legal experience and geographic reach to benefit our clients throughout the U.S. and around the world."

The daughter of two Holocaust survivors, Addison spoke only Polish until she entered kindergarten. After graduating from The University of Texas School of Law in 1976, Addison was determined to become a trial lawyer despite being told by many law firms that litigation was not a suitable career path for women. According to the firm, Addison joined Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, a predecessor to Norton Rose Fulbright, because the firm gave her that opportunity.
