Heidi Levine acts as national coordinating counsel, regional and New York counsel in a variety of contexts and represents clients in state and federal courts nationally. As national counsel, Heidi formulates and implements the strategy for teams of lawyers from DLA Piper and other law firms on all aspects of an engagement; most often in multi-district litigation proceedings. Representative engagements include Omniscan, Prempro/Premarin (hormone therapy), Phen-Fen, OxyContin and Propulsid.

Heidi is the co-managing partner of the New York office and a member of DLA Piper's governing Executive Committee, in addition to the firm's Policy Committee, Diversity Committee, Partner Nomination Committee, and Succession Planning Committee. She is a strategic leader and relationship manager for some of DLA Piper's leading global clients including Pfizer, GE / GE Healthcare and Novo Nordisk. She is the co-chair and co-founder of DLA Piper's national women's initiative, the Leadership Alliance for Women (LAW), and she served as the Hiring Partner for DLA Piper's New York office for five years beginning in 2003. Heidi has spent her entire career at DLA Piper (and its predecessor firms), beginning as a summer associate in the Baltimore office and later moving to its New York office as a young associate. She received her B.A. from University of Maryland and her J.D. from University of Baltimore.
