Three out of four of the legal search firm's new partners are women

Pamela DiCarlantonio

Legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa has named four new partners: Pamela DiCarlantonio, Michelle Fivel, Laurie Lebrun and Michael Sachs. 

DiCarlantonio is based in the Chicago office and is a member of the Partner Practice Group. She has substantial experience placing partners and groups with global, national, regional and local law firms in Chicago and other cities. A former litigator, she began her legal career with Bickel & Brewer, a commercial litigation boutique in Dallas, followed by four years as a litigation associate in Jenner & Block’s Chicago office and nearly five years with Sugar, Friedberg & Felsenthal.

Michelle Fivel

Based in Los Angeles, Fivel is part of the Associate Practice Group. She places partners and associates in international, national, regional and boutique law firms, as well as corporations. Prior to MLA, Fivel spent five years as a bankruptcy associate, most recently in the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. She also worked as an associate in the New York offices of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP and Jones Day.

Laurie Lebrun

Lebrun is based in MLA’s Tokyo office, where she works in the In-House and Law Firm Practices. She actively places private practice and in-house attorneys in Japan and Korea. A New York qualified lawyer, Lebrun practiced for more than five years in the New York and Tokyo offices of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton as a securities and mergers and acquisitions lawyer, where she was involved in transactions in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines and throughout the United States.

Michael Sachs

Based in Chicago, Sachs is a member of the In-House Practice Group. He specializes in placing lawyers at all levels, from junior counsel to general counsel in corporate legal departments in a wide range of industries and locations. Sachs graduated from the University of Illinois and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to MLA, he served as in-house media counsel for NBC Universal and worked for more than seven years as a litigation and intellectual property associate at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
