Harlan promoted to Tiffany GC

Tiffany & Co. has promoted Leigh M. Harlan to senior vice president, secretary and general counsel. She replaces Patrick B. Dorsey, who will retire May 22.

“Since joining Tiffany, Leigh has proven herself invaluable, demonstrating a sharp, agile intellect, keen legal acumen and strong leadership skills, “ said Michael J. Kowalski, Tiffany's chairman and chief executive officer. “We are confident in Leigh's abilities to oversee our highly-talented legal department and delighted to have her as a counselor on a range of legal matters affecting our global business.”

Harlan joined Tiffany in 2012 from Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where she practiced corporate, transactional and finance law. She has a bachelor's degree from Boston College, a master's degree from Harvard University and a law degree from the Duke University School of Law. 

Foot Locker names Clarke GC

Sheilagh M. Clarke has been named to succeed Gary M. Bahler, who is retiring as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Foot Locker Inc.

Clarke is currently vice president, associate general counsel and assistant secretary at the company, which she joined in 1988.

“We are pleased to have a lawyer with Sheilagh's depth and breadth of experience, as well as knowledge of our business, as our new general counsel,” Ken C. Hicks, chair and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “Foot Locker's strategic commitment to building on our industry leading retail team has allowed us to develop executives, like Sheilagh, who are ready to assume senior leadership positions.”

Weyerhaeuser names Sawin VP

Weyerhaeuser Co. has promoted Kristen Sawin to vice president, government relations, environment, health and safety. She reports to Devin Stockfish, who is succeeding Sandy McDade as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She has been director, public policy and environment, since December. Prior to that role, she was the director of regional, federal & international affairs. Sawin joined Weyerhaeuser in 2005 from the Association of Washington Business, where she served as government affairs director for environmental policy.
