Elizabeth Espín Stern, former D.C. office managing partner at Baker & McKenzie, has joined Mayer Brown, where she will spearhead the firm’s new global worksite management initiative. As part of Stern’s team, Grace Shie has also joined Mayer Brown as a partner.

At Mayer Brown, the team represents and advises multinational companies on global mobility issues in a variety of sectors including financial services, IT, defense, education, telecommunications and multimedia. In addition, the group assists sports and entertainment celebrities with complex immigration needs.

Stern, who also headed up Baker & McKenzie’s Global Immigration & Mobility practice, said in a statement, “Mayer Brown’s strong relationships with leading global companies, its presence in the world’s key business centers and the strong quality of its people and practices make the firm a great fit for us.
