Nokia faces off with HTC in yet another patent infringement case

Nokia files patent infringement suit against HTC over technology that transmits voice and text

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Finnish tech company Nokia. In September Microsoft announced that it was purchasing the company’s handset business and licensing its portfolio of intellectual property. Now, the company is taking Taiwanese phone maker HTC to court in a patent infringement case.

Nokia has accused HTC of infringing on the “024 patent,” which covers technology designed to transmit voice and text messages. The claim relates to technology in four HTC devices that utilize chips made by QUALCOMM and Broadcom.
