Rimini Street, a third-party software support vendor for SAP and Oracle applications, sees a long court battle in its future. And it’s preparing for it.
The company announced yesterday that it has hired top legal gun Daniel Winslow to head up its law department as it heads into a courtroom showdown with Oracle. Oracle filed suit against Ramini for patent infringement. Rimini countersued, claiming it works within the legal parameters of its software license agreement. A trial date, while not yet set, is imminent.
