MCCA releases results to annual diversity survey

72 CLOs in Fortune 1000 are lawyers of color, report says

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has released the results of its annual diversity survey of Fortune 1000 legal leaders, and while the number have increased over last year, it could be better.

The results, released yesterday, show that 7.2 percent of Fortune 1000 chief legal officers are lawyers of color. Compared to the percentage of non-Caucasians in the U.S., which is 35 percent, that number fails to reflect the general population.
