Goldman Sachs deputy GC joins Fried Frank

David Greenwald rejoins the firm after 19 years at Goldman

Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson has tapped one of its former lawyers to come back and lead the firm.

Fried Frank announced today that David J. Greenwald, currently a deputy and international general counsel at Goldman Sachs Group, will be rejoining the law firm in a leadership role. Although a start date hasn’t yet been announced, Greenwald will serve as co-chair along with Valerie Ford Jacob, Fried Frank’s current chairperson, through February 2015. He will take over as chairman in March 2015.
