Two Biglaw firms contend with employment litigation

Proskauer Rose settles discrimination suit, Patton Boggs faces disability bias suit

Just as one Biglaw firm is putting an employment lawsuit to rest, another is facing one head on.

Last week, a Proskauer Rose spokeswoman told Thomson Reuters that the firm had settled a discrimination lawsuit with a former executive employee who claimed the firm demoted and then wrongfully fired her when she returned to work after leaving for breast cancer treatment. Former Proskauer CFO Elly Rosenthal had sued the firm in October 2011 and sought $10 million in damages. The Proskauer spokeswoman didn’t disclose the terms of the deal with Rosenthal.
