Steptoe & Johnson has landed a heavy hitter for its white collar crime team. Jason Weinstein, a former Department of Justice (DOJ) official, will join the firm as partner in its Washington, D.C., office. He started his new gig yesterday.
Weinstein came under fire for controversy over Operation Fast and Furious, a failed gun-trafficking probe. He resigned in September 2012 after a supervisor faulted him for not paying closer attention to tactics being used in the failed operation.
