Associated Press wins copyright case

The AP sued news aggregator for posting its stories without paying a licensing fee

The Associate Press (AP) appears to be the victor in a suit it filed against a news aggregator.

The AP had sued Meltwater News Service in 2012, claiming the news aggregating company was publishing AP articles without paying its licensing fee. The AP said Meltwater is a competitor, and its practices amounted to copyright infringement.
