DLA Piper fires back at criticism from two lawmakers

Representatives blasted the firm for representing a Chinese company

DLA Piper came under fire from two U.S. lawmakers over its representation of a Chinese telecom equipment company, and the law firm fired back.

Last month, two republicans—Frank Wolf, R-Va., and Sue Myrick, R-N.C.—criticized DLA Piper for representing Chinese company ZTE Corp., which is trying to break into the U.S. market. ZTE has been under a congressional investigation for possible securities threats related to interference by the Chinese government.
