Associated Banc-Corp. has appointed Randall Erickson as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. In his new role, Erickson will be responsible for leading the company’s legal and government relations functions. His 28 years of experience includes a stint as the senior vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel of Marshall & Ilsley Corp., and 12 years as a partner at Godfrey & Kahn.
Adam Ciongoli will assume the role of executive vice president and general counsel of Lincoln Financial Group, effective May 7. Prior to joining Lincoln Financial , Ciongoli served as group general counsel and secretary at Willis Group Holdings plc. He also held the post of senior vice president and general counsel for Time Warner Europe.
Adam Rosman is the new group general counsel of insurance broker Willis Group Holdings. Rosman has worked at the company for three years as group deputy general counsel and general counsel for Willis North America. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s global legal, compliance, risk corporate secretary and audit functions.
Great American Insurance Group announced that general counsel and executive VP Mark Muething will also take on the role of chief operating officer of its annuity and supplemental businesses. Muething first joined American Annuity Group as senior vice president and general counsel in 1993. He previously served as a partner at Keating, Muething & Klekamp.
Craig Rainey has accepted the role of senior vice president and general counsel for Williams Partners, a natural gas pipeline provider. Since joining the company in 1999, Rainey has served as senior counsel for the company’s Energy Marketing and Trading division, and assistant general counsel for its Exploration and Production and Midstream businesses. Rainey previously worked as an associate general counsel for Occidental Petroleum Corp.
Max Laun has been named vice president and general counsel of aluminum manufacturer Alcoa. He previously served as the company’s assistant general counsel of mergers and acquisitions. Laun has more than 20 years of legal experience, in fields ranging from mergers and acquisitions to energy and general commercial counseling.
