Charting some of the most recent GC and in-house appointments


GC Appointments

The Fiesta Bowl hired Stephanie Jarvis to fill its newly created role of chief compliance officer and general counsel. Jarvis came to the Fiesta Bowl from the Horizon League, where she was the associate commissioner and general counsel.

UC Health named Charles Pangburn vice president and general counsel. Pangburn, who previously served as chief legal officer and general counsel of University of Cincinnati Physicians, will be establishing the Office of General Counsel for UC Health.

G. Daniel Shealer Jr. ascended to the position of vice president and general counsel for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corp. and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Previously, Shealer was senior counsel for corporate and regulatory affairs for the Health System.

Textron named E. Robert Lupone the company's executive vice president, general counsel, secretary and chief compliance officer, effective Jan. 31. Lupone comes to the company from Siemens, where he was senior vice president and general counsel.

Other In-House Moves

Eastman Kodak Co. promoted its general counsel, Laura Quatela, to president. She began her new position on Jan. 1. Quatela has been with Kodak since 1999 and has been responsible for monetizing the company’s intellectual property since 2008. Taking over Quatela’s GC duties is Patrick Sheller, formerly Kodak’s deputy general counsel.

Dan Cooperman, former general counsel of Apple, joined SFL Data’s board of advisers. Cooperman served as general counsel for Apple from 2007-2009, then became of counsel at the Bingham McCutchen law firm.
