Earlier this week, DLA Piper held its first Global Women’s Leadership Summit in Chicago. The CLE event targeted women GCs, associate GCs and other executive level women within in legal departments, and focused on the tools they need to succeed, including how to identify biases women face and how to address these barriers.

Three sessions garnered a lot of attention from attendees. In “Global Diplomacy: A Woman’s Perspective,” three panelists— Her Excellency Claudia Fritsche, Ambassador of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the U.S.; Her Excellency Audrey P. Marks, Ambassador of Jamaica to the U.S.; and Her Excellency Sheila Siwela, Ambassador of Zambia to the U.S. —discussed the issues they face and the diplomatic tools they use to break through the glass ceiling.
