According to a Twitter post today by Association of Corporate Counsel President Fred Krebbs, the organization has appointed a new GC: James A. Merklinger. Krebbs' tweet: @KrebsatACC: Congratulations to Jim Merklinger--recently promoted to GC for ACC!!
Merklinger has been with the association since 1995 when he joined as the director of large law programs. In that role, he worked with thousands of in-house counsel at large legal departments.
Merklinger replaces Susan Hackett, who served as the ACC’s general counsel for 22 years. Hackett departed the association last month to start her own consulting business.
