The event kicked off with a cocktail reception and dinner, then attendees and award recipients were treated to an evening of celebrations for exceptional women in the legal profession. Nadia Dombrowski, SVP, group head, lead region counsel, U.S. markets, for MasterCard Worldwide, accepts the Pamela L. Carter Award, which recognizes a woman whose vision, values and philosophy of using her achievements are critical to her success.
Carol Ann Petren, EVP and general counsel of Cigna, receives the Anastasia D. Kelly Award. The award honors a GC who is committed to accelerating women to senior leadership roles within a law department and beyond.
Deirdre Stanley, EVP and general counsel of Thomson Reuters, accepts the Mary Ann Hynes Pioneer Award. The award honors a woman GC who raises the bar for lawyers and corporations through her high standard of work.
Kim Koopersmith, managing partner – U.S. at Akin Gump, accepts the Thomas A Mars Pathmaker Award. The award is presented to a law firm managing partner or senior leader who has worked to accelerate the economic empowerment of attorneys of color or women in law firms.
