In-House Career Changes

Colliers International has appointed Alexander Baehr as general counsel legal & risk, vice president and corporate secretary. Previously, Baehr was senior counsel for Saudi Arabian Oil Company in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Global Aviation Holdings has named Brian S. Gillman senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Gillman previously served as general counsel, executive vice president and corporate secretary of Mesa Air Group.

Robert F. Corrigan Jr. has been named general counsel, vice president and corporate secretary of Baylor College of Medicine. Previously, Corrigan spent more than 20 years at the Health Care Law Group at Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. as partner and business attorney.

The U.S. Department of Treasury has appointed Leonard Kennedy as general counsel of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. He comes to the post from Sprint Nextel Corp., where he managed the legal department.

Private equity firm DRI Capital has named M. Craig Shepherd general counsel and managing director. Shepherd most recently served as general counsel at Amgen.

Joli Lyn Gross has been promoted to deputy general counsel and vice president of United Rentals. Gross has been with the company for nine years.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott has named Charles Trippe general counsel to the Executive Office of the Governor. Trippe was most recently a partner at Moseley, Pritchard, Parrish, Knight & Jones.

George A. Yuhas has been named general counsel of Central Garden & Pet Company. Yuhas was previously a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe.

Terrabon, a Houston-based bioenergy company, has appointed Tri Nguyen as general counsel. Previously, Nguyen was a senior attorney with Phillips & Reiter.

Fournier J. "Boots" Gale joins Regions Financial Corp. as general counsel and executive vice president. Before joining the company, Gale was a founding partner of Maynard Cooper & Gale.

Crescent Resources has hired real estate attorney Nina Shor as general counsel. Before joining Crescent, Shor helmed The Shor Law Firm in Charlotte, N.C.

Bill Crocker has been appointed general counsel of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Crocker has served as the RNC national committeeman for Texas since 2004.

Derek McCandless has joined CoreSite Realty Corp. as general counsel. Prior to joining CoreSite, McCandless served as senior vice president and assistant general counsel of Apartment Investment and Management Company.

Universal Music Group (UMG) has promoted Jeffrey Harleston to general counsel and executive vice president of business and legal affairs for North America. Formerly, Harleston served as senior vice president of business and legal affairs for UMG.

Verisk General Counsel Kenneth E. Thompson has been promoted to executive vice president in addition to his current role. He joined the company in 2006.

Ottawa-based Nordion Inc. has appointed Andrew Foti as general counsel and senior vice president. Foti was most recently a partner at Gowlings Lafleur Henderson LLP.

Jerry D. Blakemore joins Northern Illinois University as general counsel and vice president. Blakemore was previously general counsel and vice president of Southern Illinois University since 2005.

Sapient Corp. has named Joseph A. LaSala Jr. general counsel, senior vice president and secretary. Prior to joining the company, LaSala was the general counsel of Discovery Communications Inc.

Eric Schwartz has been appointed chief legal officer and executive vice president of eResearchTechnology, Inc. (ERT). Most recently, Schwartz was assistant general counsel at Johnson & Johnson.

Kim M. Keenan has been named general counsel of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the youngest attorney and
second woman to hold the position. Prior to joining the NAACP, Keenan was the principal at the Keenan Firm in Washington, D.C.
