InsideCounsel was named the 2009 Eddie Awards Bronze Winner for best single article in a business-to-business magazine in the banking/business/finance category for "Under Scrutiny," published in June 2008.
"Under Scrutiny," by Senior Editor Mary Swanton and Managing Editor Melissa Maleske, examined the escalation of prosecutions and enforcement actions directed at in-house attorneys by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. It told the story through interviews with in-house attorneys who had been targeted, top DOJ and SEC officials involved in the investigations, and white collar crime experts.
Business Week took the Gold Award and Inc. Magazine won the Silver Award in the same category.
The prestigious Eddies, which recognize excellence in magazine editorial, are awarded annually by FOLIO Magazine in the largest magazine competition in the country.
