Irvine, Calif.-based Broadcom Corp., a semiconductor company, has named Arthur Chong senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He was previously executive vice president and chief legal officer at Seattle-based Safeco Corp., an insurance company. He replaces Alvin G. Segel, who was serving as acting general counsel.
