With credit markets reeling from the sub-prime mortgage crisis, the economy flagging and investor confidence on the rocks, the 2008 proxy season is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic, active and challenging in recent memory. At press time, shareholders had already put forth 628 proposals, putting this year on pace to shatter the 2007 record of 1,173 proposals.
